Tony Wallace’s musical experience includes freelance composition and production work for a broad range of media, stints as musical director and clinician for several educational organizations and extensive work as a private instructor.
Tony is an Honours graduate of Toronto’s acclaimed Humber College of Applied Arts and Technology (Music, 1999). While at Humber, he studied with some of Canada’s leading musicians, most notably guitarist Ted Quinlan and multi-instrumentalist/composer Don Thompson. He also received the Duke Ellington Memorial award (1998) and the Bobby Herriott award (1999) for arranging and composition.
Tony has maintained an abiding interest in music technology throughout his career and made his first forays into computer-based digital audio while the technology was in its infancy, well over a decade ago. In 2005, he joined ASK Video as a tutorial artist and has since written and presented tutorial DVDs on Apple Logic Pro and GarageBand.
In 2007, Tony founded Heuristic Music to create progressive music for meditation and relaxation. Heuristic also offers a broad range of commercial services in music/audio production and training.
Tony currently resides in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
